How to title a mobile home in Arkansas
Arkansas titles mobile homes through the Department of Finance and Administration. Its fee schedule lists a $10.00 title fee and a $26.00 registration fee for mobile and manufactured homes.
Who titles the home
The Arkansas Manufactured Home Commission sends home title questions to the motor vehicle title division of the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA).
Fees
DFA's fee schedule lists a $10.00 title fee.
The same schedule lists a $26.00 registration fee for mobile and manufactured homes.

Replacement titles
The last titled owner signs the application for a duplicate title. If a lien is still recorded, the lienholder can sign a Permission to Issue a Replacement Title (form 10-315) and the title goes to the lienholder.
A replacement title costs $10.00. Residents can apply at any state revenue office; DFA asks for at least three weeks to receive the title.

Homes on a permanent foundation
When a home is or will be permanently attached to land, the owners or lienholders can apply to DFA on Form 10-318 to cancel the title or certificate of origin.
All owners and everyone holding a lien must sign, and the title or certificate of origin is attached.
Affixed means attached to a permanent foundation system that follows the manufacturer's anchoring and support requirements and suits the soil.

Taxes and moves
A 1991 DFA regulation says sales of new and used mobile homes are subject to sales or use tax.
Owners moving their own home need to show title and acceptable insurance to get the state move permit.

What we could not confirm
DFA does not publish a manufactured home title checklist we could read. Bring the signed title, a bill of sale and lien releases to a state revenue office and ask what else applies.
