Move Checklist

Corrections

A wrong permit step can hold a home at the curb. When an installer fact, a permit or title rule, a fee or a price here is wrong, we fix it and date the fix below.

How to report an error

Email editor@mobilehomemovernear.com with the page address and what is wrong. Installers: include your state or HUD installer license number. A business that asks to be removed is removed the same day. You do not need to be a customer, and a business never has to pay or advertise to get its page corrected.

How fast we fix it

When we confirm an error, the fix is live on the site within one business day and is added to the log below with its date. If we cannot confirm it, we tell you what we checked.

What we can change, and what we cannot

We fix:

  • An installer or dealer license detail that differs from the state or HUD list we cite.
  • A business's phone, website, address or services, once the business or its Google profile confirms the change.
  • A move permit, tax clearance, title step, fee or price that differs from the page we cite, and links that no longer work.

We cannot change:

  • The state's or HUD's own license record. Our next read of the list picks up any change the agency makes.
  • What your county, park or utility adds on top of the state rules we describe.

Log of corrections and updates

A correction means we had something wrong. An update means the source changed or moved. Design and speed changes are not listed.

  • October 11, 2026 Update
48 links fixed after their owners moved the pages: 27 HUD installation code sections on eCFR, 13 Kansas statutes (the legislature moved its statute pages), the Will County treasurer, FDOT, Florida title and registration fees and Kansas Housing. The 138 quotes on them were checked again.

Service labels taken from business websites now show only services the business's own site offers. A sample check found 89 of 100 labels right before the change (product copy and a customer review about a new roof read as services). A fresh sample after the change found 98 of 100 right, and both misses are now rejected.

Permit, title and cost guides showed notes meant for our own research (which copy of a rule we had read, or that a page could not be opened). They now give plain advice and cite only the official page, and FAQ answers now answer the question they ask.
